Happy Friday Pioneers,
Just need a few suggestions that would be helpful for my healthier pretzels business; I have a few London food markets coming up to sell my snacks (hope to see you guys there - let me know if you can support and I can send you the address of the next one on Wednesday 1st November ) and I'm eager to get more brand exposure. How would you go about to get the brand mentioned in local newspapers, online entrepreneur articles and any other platform to help get your brand name out there and if you have done this for your business, how did you go about getting onto different PR platforms?
Thanks
Benjamin

I went to a great event run by Enterprise Nation called Meet The Journalists, with a panel of journalists from various publications, answering people's questions about how to get featured. It was really helpful; they run it several times a year in different locations.

The most easiest, cheapest and unlimited reach is to create a website and social media accounts of your business or what you do.
Then you need to make contacts with people either face to face or online "with online you have unlimited reach but no guarantee everyone you reach out to will connect to you" but what it does is gets your product-services and you out there for people to see.

This is a great question @Benjamin23, what have you tried so far?
Feel free to share the location of the up-coming London markets here if you'd like to.

Thanks for responding, at the moment, I am researching how to go about it and at this stage, I would like to avoid using PR companies so I will start contacting the companies now like the StartUp Magazine and etc, but I'm not too sure what is the best way to approach this. Would you recommend spending a significant amount to get a press release?
Yes that is more than fine, the location is at Regent’s Place, Triton Street, NW1 3HF
It will start at 11am and finish at 3pm, so if you or anyone would like to come and support, that would be super great

Thanks
Benjamin

@Benjamin23have you looked for events on marketing and PR on Eventbrite, the Entreprenerial Hubs run free events and support around the country and offer this type of advice - I get a lot from these events not only from the speakers but also from the people who are going along their own entrepreneurial journey - its amazing how helpful and supportive everyone is.
Alternatively is there a company which you could look to do cross promotion with i.e. a complimentary food or what about approaching cinema complex to promote as an alternative to popcorn?
However if you don't have a brand yet, it would be worth investing (time and/or money) in this before you start pushing the product out. Good luck
